Dr. Fred Alberts has been a practicing psychologist in Tampa, Florida for the past 22 years. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida (B.A., M.A.) and the University of Southern Mississippi (Ph.D.). He completed an internship in Clinical Psychology at The Devereux Foundation, Devon, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Alberts is board certified in Clinical Psychology and Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP).
He is Immediate Past Chief of Psychology and Neuropsychology at The Tampa General Hospital.
He is Immediate Past President of the American Academy of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology.
Dr. Alberts has authored numerous scientific articles in refereed journals, book chapters, and is co-author with Theodore H. Blau, Ph.D., of The Cue Book: A Courtroom Companion and The Forensic Documentation Sourcebook: Second Edition.
Dr. Alberts is consultant to the Child Protection Team, Department of Pediatrics, University of South Florida.
Dr. Alberts is adjunct faculty at the University of Tampa and is on the Clinical Faculty of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of South Florida.
Dr. Alberts has served as an expert witness for both plaintiff and defense attorneys on a variety of matters relating to neuropsychology, clinical psychology, clinical child and adolescent psychology, child abuse and neglect, and competence to stand trial.
